Waterproof ratings are only important when talked about in relation to Breathability ratings. It's useless having a highly waterproof jacket or pant if it doesn't breath as you will sweat so much, that you will get wet from the effects of your own perspiration - and that means, cold!
So, not only does your garment need to be highly waterproof, it also needs to have some level of breathability.
And, just to make matters even more complicated, this is where seam sealing is important: if your seams leak, then you are going to get wet.
We have listed a few options that you can use to ensure that your gear remains waterproof and ready to use.
When looking for a spray on waterproofer, ensure that you select one that will not block the pores of the fabric.
