When your skis or snowboards come out of the factory, the bases are always ground flat, structured and waxed; the edges are sharpened to 90 degrees. Unfortunately this will not last forever. Usually, after just one week, your equipment will have base damage or burred edges. This will affect its performance.
Regular servicing of skis and boards helps to maintain equipment and ensures good gliding even in poor conditions. Grinding opens the blocked surface pores of the ski, and ensuring your skis base is perfectly flat. It is recommendable to grind the base at least once each season to increase the life span of the ski/board several years. Proper waxing should be done three to four times a season.
Regularly serviced equipment will make your skis and boards easier to use. This in turn will improve your confidence and performance and let you get the best out of your equipment!

If your base on your ski or snowboard has suffered serious damage we can put in a patch with similar material. A technician will advise you whether this can be done, as your equipment will require sufficient edge for the base to bond with.
If you edge has been damaged or broken it is possible to replace a section of the edge. A technician will advise you whether this can be done, as your equipment will require sufficient edge to align with. Please note that a repaired edge will not be as strong as the original edge.
