Find your way to Mt Buller resort entry gates, there will be an gate entry fee for your car and its passengers into the resort carpark. At that time you will then need to also pay for your over-snow taxi, which will take you from your parked car up to the lodge (and return). As you approach the appropriate car parking area closest to the ski resort area, you will be directed into a specific parking spot. As you empty yourself and your luggage out of your car, a 4WD taxi will pull up behind you. Your entire luggage will go on the roof of the taxi (so pack appropriately). Give the taxi driver your coupons for the ride and tell him you are going to Cawarra ski club. They will drop you off across the road outside the Alpine Retreat.
So in summary, take with you in the car: The lodge name ‘Cawarra’, and the door code for entry.
PS – The Mt Buller website has heaps of great information especially for first timers

Ask for Cawarra ski club. The taxi will drop you off outside the Alpine Retreat which is on the other side (uphill side) of the road from Cawarra. You will need a door code to gain entrance to the building.
If there is enough snow, you can ski down the side of the road to purchase your lift ticket at the main Lift Ticket Office area. If you already have your lift ticket you can ski down under the Chamois ski lift and cut hard skiers-right down a trail behind the lodges to get to the two consecutive rope tows which will lift you up to an area near the top of the Standard ski run. There must be enough snow for these lifts to be running, and you need to be at least an intermediate level to get down the Standard ski run.
To return home after skiing, you can access the bottom of the Chamois Ski Lift by a trail near the bottom of the Standard ski run. Again, there must be enough snow for this trail to be open. You can also ski to the bottom of Bourke street ski run and catch the free village shuttle from the bus parking area up to the Alpine Retreat. Walking up to Cawarra is also relatively easy and sometimes quicker than waiting for the shuttle.
Cawarra ski club is only a 5 minute downhill walk to the Village Centre. In this area is a supermarket, rental and retail shops, bars and restaurants. A return walk can take 5-10 minutes as it is a slight incline uphill. Again, there is a free village shuttle if you require.
